Dark Blossom
2011 Grenache and Syrah from Third Twin, Eleven Confessions, Cumulus, White Hawk Vyds.
- The Dark Blossom Grenache is
- 75% Grenache, 12.5% Syrah, 11.5% Mourvedre, 1% Roussanne.
- 11% whole clusters.
- It was aged 22 months in mostly neutral oak.
- Almost all from Cumulus and Eleven Confessions Estate vineyards,
except 3% of the grenache came from the Bien Nacido vineyard.
- The Dark Blossom Syrah is
- 84% Syrah, 8% Grenache, 4% Petite Sirah, 4% Roussanne.
- 17% whole clusters.
- aged 23 months in 50% new oak.
- Mostly from mostly from Third Twin, Eleven Confessions and Cumulus Estate vineyards,
with just a dollop of fruit from White Hawk.
- These wines were shipped together in Spring 2014.
I received a 6-pack of each. The Grenache is in white tissue. The Syrah is in black tissue.
