- 38% Roussanne, 31% Petit Manseng, 18% Chardonnay, 9% Viognier, and
4% Muscat (Manfred says
Gelber Muskateller to be hyper precise
).
- Entirely from estate fruit with the exception of the Chardonnay which from Bien Nacido Vineyard.
Specitifically, this wine is 52% Cumulus Estate, 19% Eleven Confessions Estate, 18% Bien Nacido, and 11% The Third Twin Estate.
- Aged for 20 months in 9% concrete eggs, 4% amphora, 9% used barrels and 78% new French oak puncheons.
- Shipped October 2019.
- The name
Tectumque
is Latin for shelter
.
According to the offer letter, this wine was supposed to be called Inconnu,
which means unknown
in French.
Unfortunately, that name had already been trademarked by
this winery.

Tectumque was bottled in Magnums, but not Double Magnums.
It is the first SQN white to be bottled in magnum since the 2011
