Flight 1
1990 Dom. Maroslavac (Laboure-Roi) Puligny Montrachet
Clos du Vieux Chateau -- 88 points
Nice buttery toasty nose. Thick, acidic, unresolved. As it opens
showing pear, lemon, white raisins

1989 Remoissenet Chassagne Montrachet -- 92
[Brought by Joel H, $22 @ Century near Rochester, NY.]
Shitty nose. Knockout, very long, riveting finish. Nearing maturity, complex,
caramel, buttery taste. Longest finish of Flights 1 and 2.
Flight 2
1989 Royals Club (Remoissenet) Bourgogne -- 91
[Again, from Century near Rochester, NY. Supposedly excess
declassified Batard Montrachet.]
Peanut butter nose. High acidity, long, nutty, yummy finish. Elegant.
Fading after 2 days in fridge.
1990 Louis Latour Batard Montrachet -- 92-94
[Brought by Jack J , $100 @ Sherry-Lehmann. $81 @ Big Y.
No "Grand Cru" on label.]
Big buttery nose. Mouth filling butterscotch. Really big and rich,
needs 8-10 years.
Gorgeous and appealing after 4 days in fridge.
Flight 3
1988 Pierre Andre Corton Charlemagne EB Grand Cru -- 92
[Brought by Dick L. Purchased at the chateau (with the
famous tile roof) in Corton. Only EB wine of tasting!]
Great nose. Complex with mature flavors. Light crisp with
plenty of appley grapefruit.
1989 Louis Latour Corton Charlemagne -- 92-93
[$68 @ Big Y. No "Grand Cru" on label.]
Big, smelly, oily nose of lemon peel. Good length. A powerhouse.
1989 Leroy Corton Charlemagne Grand Cru -- 94-96
[[Brought by me. $96 @ Big Y.] Balanced, elegant, nose.
Exquisite, riveting acidity. Harmonious, great length and finesse.
Tight. Some pineapple in nose. Superlong finish.

1990 Louis Latour Corton Charlemagne Grand Cru -- 92-93
[$53 @ Big Y.] Similar oily nose (to the `89) with a touch of spice.
Medium-long. Needs 10 years.
Dessert
1988 Ch Lafaurie-Peyraguey Sauternes -- 92
[Brought by Frank F., $28 @ Century.]
Stunning nose of stewed apricots and prune danish. Exquisite taste,
tons of botrytis. Medium length, but superb up front.
