Two Burgundies and a Sauternes
at
Yono's Restaurant,
Albany, NY, 3/29/2017
A group of us at work took a distinguished visitor out for dinner at the superb Yono's restaurant.
All 3 wines were off their list. The last one was complimentary.
It seemed everyone at the table really enjoyed each wine.
I did not take written notes during the dinner, so this is from memory the next morning.

2005 Louis Jadot Clos Vougeot -
France, Burgundy, Côte de Nuits, Clos Vougeot Grand Cru
Full, rich, with great balance and spice. Still in the beginning of its drinking window.
Delicious and fresh with lots of red fruit. (94 points)

2011 Château Laribotte - France, Bordeaux, Sauternais, Sauternes
Classic medium-weight Sauternes with excellent balance. (91 points)
