In 2008, Roberto Conterno bought a three-hectare parcel in the Cerretta Vineyard in the north of Serralunga d'Alba. (Cascina Francia is in the far south of Serralunga d'Alba.) 2008 was the first vintage of Nebbiolo and is just labeled Langhe Nebbiolo, not Barolo. The same is true here in 2009. Finally in 2010, the wine was up to Roberto's standards for Barolo and a 2010 Barolo was produced.
