According to Alessandro
Masnaghetti’s Barolo MGA Vol. I (p. 298), in 1983, Giovanni Mascarello sold
grapes from Francia to Mauro Mascarello (of Giuseppe Mascarello e Figlio), from
which Mauro made this wine. I am not aware of any other time this happened.
