Bruno Giacosa Barbaresco Riserva Speciale 1961
- Note the neck label that says
Riserva Speciale
.
- The very first Bruno Giacosa Barbaresco riserva, this does not have the famous
red label
.
In general, those were used on the single vineyard riservas. The one exception
is the 1990 Barbaresco Riserva.
- Bruno has said that this wine is made entirely from the Santo Stefano vineyard
even though it is not labeled as such.

Special Gold Label Bottling
- The winery says that this wine was also aged like a Riserva and
made exclusively from grapes from the Santo Stefano Vineyard.
Thus it is the same wine as above, but with this special gold label.
- There is a similar
gold-label Barolo made in 1964.
