Lunch at Trattoria Antica Torre
@ Via Torino 64, Barbaresco, Piedmont, Italy (7/6/2016)

After our wonderful morning visit to the Gaja Winery, Ezio and I walked up Via Torino to Trattoria Antica Torre for lunch.

For each image, I have posted a compressed (and possibly cropped) version. Click on it to see the original, much larger image.

Looks like Gaia's dog Brieis wants to come with us.

Approaching the restaurant:

To the left of the restaurant are the parish church and the tower from which the restaurant gets its name:

To the right of the restaurant is the home of Produtorri del Barbaresco:

There is lovely seating outdoors:

They seem to have a lot of wine boxes to use as furniture:

It was warm outside, so we sat inside. On the right were the two families from Norway that I met at the Cappellano winery.

I was a little disappointed with my tajarin al Ragù which was a bit greasy:

The owner with his pasta. Some old bottles on a shelf.

Getting into Ezio's car to drive to our visit at the Bruno Giacosa Winery in Neive!
